What was the highlight of Aega Hanok Guesthouse

A Good Glimpse into the Korean Traditional House

-The rooms are in traditional Korean style together with floor heating and futon. If you feel you cannot sleep except on the Western-style beds, don't come here. -The guesthouse is conveniently situated in downtown Taegu, within walking distance from Taegu Korail Station (which is next to Dong=East Taegu Station where KTX stops), the metro and the historical and comfort-woman museums.

-It's not really a breakfast. There are Korean-style cup rice cakes and bags of fried noodles on the shelf which the guests are expected to cook by themselves. Coffee and tea also come in powdered sticks. -The guesthouse is tucked in the congested traditional buildings thus hard to find even by my local taxi driver.

room with basic amenities. sufficient for short stay.

the hospitality of the owner. he guided us personally to the nearby food street for dinner. he opened up another adjacent enclosed space for the four of us, otherwise the original room itself would be cramped for 4 of us.

We loved our stay here!

We loved our stay here! Wonderful location next to tons of restaurants in Daegu and very kind staff. Host went out of his way to help us with suggestions on things to do. Floors are comfortable to sleep on and well heated.

Accommodation is in a traditional Korean house;

Accommodation is in a traditional Korean house; every room has his own bathroom. Everything very clean. The host was very very nice and helpful, he gave as all information that we need, and he even drive us to the train station when we leave. I strongly recommend this accommodation and also two others same hanok houses attach to this one.

Great location near the market but also secluded so that one can enjoy a serene night's sleep. Friendly and accommodating owner but spoke no English. There was an abundance of food in the kitchen, fresh fruits and other local delicacies.

The place was generally clean but the toilet, which is a shared facility, wasn't cleaned daily. There were times when there was no toilet paper and no one to ask.

Location is rather close to the city center, a short walk of 15 min. Nice atmosphere. Owner speaks little English so he asked a friend to help us with getting around and he gave lots of tips for day trips around Daegu.

We had our own bathroom, but it was not very clean. There is a kitchen room to prepare breakfast, but we had to shop on our own for a continental breakfast.

Excellent experience

The master of the guest house was very kind. I can see his kindness from his appearance. He even took me to the bibimbap restaurant. I was traveling alone, so he seems really taking care of me. I was really surprised their kindness. I would like to go back!! :)))

Nice, beautiful, experience washing your face traditionally in open air settings any time of year.

Nice traditional style look, excellent cleanliness, kitchen available at any time, good shower, location near the city centre within walking distance of airport bus. I am not sure about soundproofing, but we were lucky with other guests not making noise.

A little difficult to find, don't confuse with a similar accommodation next door. The traditional way to place the amenities across the courtyard means you should expect this type of place will not be very comfortable in winter.

One of the best guest houses i have ever been to

amazing place! lovely people! from the second we got there we felt at home. they even planned to take us from the train station but we had no wifi to comunicate with them. the place itself is also beautiful and we had the best time...wish to come back!
